Marines, veterans and their families gathered at the Yemassee train station for the 2nd Annual Yemassee Train Depot Reunion Oct. 16. Yemassee was the first stop for eager recruits seeking to earn the title United States Marine before reaching Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island from 1915 to 1965. Marines with Range Company, Weapons and Field Training Battalion aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island participated in Operation Adrenaline Rush at the James Island County Park in Charleston, S.C., Aug. 22. The Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Museum will host the annual Iron Mike Bike Tour aboard MCRD Parris Island, May 4.
