***UPDATE 2***

Current predictions of the National Hurricane Center (https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/) do not indicate major wind impacts nor a significant rainfall for the Beaufort area. Though, the potential for flooding, power outages, and fallen tree limbs do exist, please prepare accordingly. Operations aboard the Air Station will continue as normal.

 

However, annual leave may be authorized on a case-by-case basis in conjunction with your chain of command or direct supervisor. We will continue to monitor Hurricane Michael and provide updates as necessary.

 

***UPDATE 1*** MCAS Beaufort is closely monitoring Hurricane Michael. Based upon the current predictions of the National Hurricane Center, operations aboard the air station will continue as normal.

We encourage you to monitor the National Hurricane Center (https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/) and National Weather Service Charleston (https://www.weather.gov/chs/) websites for the most accurate information as well as continue your hurricane planning.

MCAS Beaufort will keep personnel and their families apprised as the track and intensity of Hurricane Michael becomes more certain and more information becomes available.
