MCAS Beaufort - An F-5N Freedom Fighter takes off from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Jan. 17. Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 is training with Naval Fighter Composite Squadron 111 from Jan. 8 to Jan. 22. The Sundowners are here as a training tool to provide adversary air for the Warlords. The F-5N Freedom Fighter simulates an enemy aircraft which provides realistic training outside of a simulator. The F-5N is with VFC-111.
