An F-5N Tiger II aircraft rests on the flight line aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Dec. 3, 2015. The Marine Division Tactics Course began aboard the air station Jan. 11. The course provides F/A- 18 Hornet aircrew and Marine air intercept controllers with groundside and airborne instruction in doctrine, tactics and weapons considerations for the successful use of Marine fighter attack aircraft in combat. Marine Fighter Training Squadron 401 brought eight F-5N Tiger II aircraft to support red air for the course. VMFAT-101 is a training squadron for Marine Corps and Navy students who are training in Beaufort to prepare for their culminating event of landing aboard an aircraft carrier.
