Health Protection Condition Charlie

March 26, 2020

SHARE

Beaufort is now setting Health Protection Condition Charlie (HPCON-C) to maintain the readiness and protection of base personnel and families.

HPCON-C means there is sustained community transmission.

Personnel are advised to strictly adhere to measures outlined in HPCON-B, such as social distancing, avoid crowded areas, and avoid shaking hands and stay home as much as possible. Routinely clean surfaces, cough into your elbow, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.

MCAS Beaufort personnel along with Public Health Emergency Officials are working diligently to implement best practices, execute plans and remain prepared should there be a need to increase to the next level of HPCON.

Personnel who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as a cough, fever and shortness of breath or have been exposed to the virus should remain home and contact their health care professional for guidance.

All updates involving MCAS Beaufort will be posted here and https://www.beaufort.marines.mil/.

For additional guidance on COVID-19, please visit www.cdc.gov/covid19.
