During the Ceremony, Lt. Col. Kristian von Heimburg relinquished command to Lt. Col. Joshua Pieczonka. After the change of command, von Heimburg was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

MDTC took the Marines and honed their skills in air-to-air and air-to-ground tactics. After MDTC, the graduates are qualified to attend the Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course.
