The Substance Abuse Counseling Center Beaufort earned its second accreditation in the top three percent by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities Nov. 18. SACC treated more than 200 cases this year dealing with substance abuse. Neller, 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps, addressed Marines, sailors, and civilian personnel at the Lasseter Theater aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Oct. 16. “I expect the most from our leaders,” said Neller. “They have to know their Marines’ problems and attend to them so we can get the mission done and keep everyone safe.” During his talk, the commandant touched on leadership, his expectations and vision for the future of the Corps, and responded to Marines’ questions.
