The Substance Abuse Counseling Center Beaufort earned its second accreditation in the top three percent by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities Nov. 18. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. The group of companies currently accredits more than 50,000 programs and services at 23,000 locations. More than 8 million people of all ages are served annually by 6,800 CARF-accredited service providers. CARF accreditation extends to countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa according to its website.
