Tri-Command service members participated in the Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, Nov. 11.The annual event is held to recognize Beaufort's veterans and active duty service members. During the parade, the streets were lined with people waving American flags and cheering as the color guard, the Parris Island Marine Band, veterans and active duty service members and local organizations paraded through the streets. Contractors have completed a ground support equipment workspace for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. The squadron moved into the new facility at the beginning of 2016. The day was part of a familiarization for the students in careers that tie into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program.
