Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve on his 17th birthday in October 1996 and graduated from Recruit Training in October 1997. As a Sergeant, he deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2003 to July 2003. In July 2004 he graduated from California State University Bakersfield with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in September 2005.
After graduating from The Basic School in October 2006, he completed Advanced Flight School and was designated a Naval Aviator in September 2008, and subsequently completed replacement aircrew training in the CH-53E Super Stallion in March 2009 and was assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 16 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar CA.
Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks was assigned to HMH-462 and deployed with HMM-165 (REIN) as the Air Combat Element of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2010. Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks transferred to HMH-466 in 2011 and deployed to Helmand Provence, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012.
In August 2013, Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks reported to Marine Aviation Training Support Group 21 in Pensacola, FL and was assigned to Helicopter Training Squadron 28 (HT-28) as an Instructor Pilot from 2013 to 2016. While at HT-28, he served as the Student Control Officer, Flight Leader, Flight Operations Officer, and Standardization Officer.
In August 2016 Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks received orders back to MAG-16 and was assigned to 7th Marine Regiment as the Air Cell Officer in Charge and deployed to Al Jaber Kuwait in support of SPMAGTF-CR-CC 17.1 Command Element from November 2016 to August 2017.
In November 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks reported to HMH-361 and deployed to MCAS Futenma Okinawa as the Operations Officer in support of UDP 18.2 from May to November 2018. Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks continued to serve as Operations Officer through May 2019 and extended his squadron tour for one year to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks attended Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell Air Force Base Alabama from August 2020 to June 2021 before transferring to MCRD Parris Island where he was assigned to Weapons and Field Training Battalion as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer from June 2021 to April 2024. Lieutenant Colonel Eubanks transferred to MCAS Beaufort as the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron Executive Officer and now serves as the MCAS Beaufort Executive Officer.
