Communication Strategy and Operations

The Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Communication Strategy and Operations section is organized and structured to provide MCAS Beaufort and authorized tenant activities with community relations, graphics support, still and video imagery in support of unit training, missions and operations. The COMMSTRAT director serves as the webmaster and can be reached at BFRT_COMMSTRAT@usmc.mil.

COMMSTRAT is now located aboard MCAS Beaufort, in building 807, room 100. Support can be requested at BFRT_COMMSTRAT@usmc.mil or at our office during normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday, 0800-1600.

Photo Studio

Photos are taken at the MCAS Beaufort Photo Studio by appointment only at building 807, room 33.

Studio hours are Monday through Friday, 0800-1100 & 1300-1500.

Command Board Photos and Official Portraits: All official portraits and command board photographs are to be taken in Service “A” with ribbons and badges. Command Board Photographs contain both the American flag and the Marine Corps flag. Official portraits are any other photograph required for official use to identify positions of leadership, authority or billet that are not command specific, however it does not have the Marine Corps flag.

Official Military Personnel File Photographs: OMPF photos will be submitted to MMSB the day your photo is taken. It is your individual responsibility to ensure the photo is posted to your OMPF. If your photo has not been posted to your OMPF within 5 business days, contact MMRP-60 at 703-784-3986 to verify their receipt of your photograph.

If you plan on requesting an OMPF photo this form (click here) must be filled out by your S3, no more than 30 days prior to your studio appointment.

No-fee government passport requirements: No-fee government passports are for government use only. The requestor will need a DD Form 1056 or copy of web orders and a non-white collared shirt.

Graphics Section

The Graphics Section provides a full range of graphic creations, black and white printing up to 12”x18”, color printing up to 12”x18”, large format printing up to 40”, booklet making (two and three-fold), binding, and lamination up to 24” wide for field products.
