Members of the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, and U.S. Marines celebrated the 100th anniversary of the RAF’s formation with a mess night aboard Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort March 23. The mess night was also held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formation of 617 Squadron. In attendance to the mess night was the leadership of Marine Aircraft Group 31, Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501, 617 Squadron, 207 Squadron, and Air Vice Marshal Gerry Mayhew, the commanding officer of No. 1 Group, RAF.
