Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 detached from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., for training aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, May 9 through 22. In an act of respect to those who gave so much, service members from the Tri-Command met with WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans to speak about military times at the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard installation, Pooler, Ga., May 16. The service members spoke with the veterans prior to their departure for Washington, D.C., as part of the Honor Flight’s initiative of getting as many WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam Veterans as possible to Washington D.C. - In an act of respect to those who gave so much, service members from the Tri-Command met with WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans to speak about military times at the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard installation, Pooler, Ga., May 16. Captain William T. Paxton, an F-18 pilot with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251, was awarded the Bronze Star medal with a combat distinguishing device during an award ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, May 5. While serving with 2nd Battalion 8th Marines as the forward air controller, Paxton spent five hours calling in accurate air strikes on enemy targets, allowing his small command element to escape and evacuate an injured Marine. - Captain William T. The command religious ministry department provides weekly worship services for Sailors and Marines as well as bible study, choir rehearsals and operates the ships library. The Harry S.
