Stephen Binyard’s grave is displayed at the unveiling of Edgerly Cemetery aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Sept. 18. The cemetery has been cleaned-up and restored to honor the memory of Binyard and the other ancestors of the Edgerly Plantation whose burial locations have yet to be discovered. In 1866, after serving in the Union Army for three years, Binyard and his family bought a piece of land on Edgerly Plantation. The T-45 is used by the Navy as an aircraft carrier-capable trainer. It was developed as a jet flight trainer for the Navy and Marine Corps. Indigo Run raised more than 250 for donation to military children in the Beaufort area. Ledyard is a motor vehicle operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Aircraft Group 31.
