The bike route was more than 100 miles and passed through Port Royal, Okatie, and Yemassee before returning to the VFW. The ride was intended to gain support for the local military community. Hora is the state quartermaster for the Veterans of Foreign Wars in South Carolina. The non-commissioned officer awards recognize outstanding Marines and help the unit. Issuing these awards shows that the Marines are doing a great job and provides a reward for exceptional service. Returning to work after the holidays presents unique challenges. Service members have been away from their work stations enjoying time with friends or family. Re-focusing on the mission or task at hand is essential for productivity, and safety remains extremely important.
